Golf Rediscovered For Father And Son
I found this story about a father who was cleaning the garage with his seven year old son and found his set of 20 year old golf clubs, untouched for that time. Segway X2 Golf
So the Segway (really any other "cart alternative") on the golf course hasn't taken off. Fortunately that hasn't prevented them from improving on their original model. The Segway X2 Golf is available for a cool $6500. It looks cool... but I think they should send me one to review to be sure. (SegwayLink)

Zurich Classic Leaderboard
It's pretty hard to get excited about golf news on a day when nobody has been shot. The Zurich Classic of New Orleans kicks off today if that excites you. Otherwise... I dunno. Go out and play. We like looking at your scores.

Tiger And The Camera Click
"Controversy" is so fun and juicy isn't it? Are we really to believe as good as Tiger is a click of a camera can screw him up? Based on what he says, I guess so. It's pretty obvious to me-something in a camera click must cause a short in the wiring of his motherboard. I'd expect the advances in digital cameras to lead to his decline in years to come. (Story)

Golf Shoes For More Than A Pretty Penny
I like shoes... not like my wife, but I like them. These shoes though are on a whole other level. If I ever saw someone wearing a $800 pair of golf shoes I'd probably punch them for being so uselessly extravagant. (OtaboShoes)

Chef Shot In Louisiana
Chef Paul Prudhomme (is he famous?) was setting up his cooking tent for the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans yesterday and was struck by a bullet from a .22. The bullet probably came from over a mile away. Prudhomme was back to cooking within 5 minutes. No wonder the big names sit this one out. (FullStory)

Stalking Tiger... No, Seriously.
Writer Bob Smiley had a mission in 2008. Watch every hole Tiger Woods played. What he didn't count on was the CA Championship carrying over until Monday and then Tiger keeping his Monday obligation to play in the Tavistock Cup. With no access to a private jet- Bob still tried to make it... and almost did. A very fun read. (Smiley)

Listening To Tiger
At Bay Hill when I heard a conversation between Tiger and his caddie Steve Williams on NBC, I thought it was something I've never seen on tv. Turns out I was right- it was something new and awesome thanks to some new mics. (Story)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09
As the spring and summer rolls along we'll get more info on Tiger Woods 2009, the EA Sports video game offering. What do we have so far to keep us excited? Not much- just that we know there will be new commentators and sounds. Eh- start small, dream big- right? (ChatWithAudioDirector)

Courses Getting Greener
Joining in on the social conscious trend to go "green" golf courses are starting to get into the act. It seems a lot of courses are trying to become Audubon International certified as courses that are environmentally friendly. My thoughts (and yours?) after the jump. (Story)

Tavistock Cup- Neighborhood Throwdown
The Tavistock Cup is a pretty cool idea. Imagine you and your block taking on your neighbors from the other side of the development. Now imagine everyone in the community is a pro golfer. That's the Travistock Cup. (TavistockInfo)

Longest Holes In America
There are 2 golf holes in the United States over 800 yards and five over 750 yards- all par 6's. Check out this cool slideshow (featuring annoying "auto-forward" feature) showing off the 10 longest holes you can play. (LongestHoles)

Golf Balls In Car
I feel like I've seen this around for over a year but it must be making the rounds again because a couple of you have sent it to me. Check out this (commercial) prank video using golf balls and a miserable co-worker. It would be an expensive prank.. but a good one.

The Key To Beating Tiger
Tiger didn't win. The fact that it's a headline in itself is remarkable. In watching the finish of the CA Championship this morning- I did notice something though. I think I've found the key to beating Tiger. Learn how Geoff Ogilvy did it after the jump.

Interview With Shane Bacon
Shane Bacon is a popular golf writer since his days in the sports department for the Arizona Daily Wildcat and he continues to dispense great insight and knowledge now on his website, Dogs That Chase Cars. I had a chance to interview him last week- check it out after the jump.

Oh Golf, You're So Frustrating
Updates are a bit light today... so sue me (watch the NCAA tourney or something). I did get a chance to play some golf this morning in cold temperatures and a brisk wind. I shot a 54 on the front nine, and a 39 on the back for a 93. How is that even possible to be that bad and then that good? I hate golf. (MyRound)

Camilo Villegas- The Anna Kournikova Of Golf?
Is Camilo Villegas the Anna Kournikova of golf because he's attractive but can't win. Here's my problem with it... Anna Kournikova is/was attractive (AND A WOMAN). I think maybe that last parenthetical may be important to this discussion. When Camillo starts wearing short skirts and does commericials featuring his boobs, we'll talk. (Story)
