Golf As A Career Choice

In India golf has become a new career choice for many children. With parents around the world becoming more receptive to their childrens' dreams of playing professional sports, it comes as no surprise that golf has now joined the list of professional sports careers. The growing number of young international players has also helped fuel the drive worldwide (I. Park, M. Kaymer, R. McIlroy). Although I don't see golf surpassing football, baseball, or basketball as a choice in the future career plans of this countries children (at least not in the near future); it's still nice to see that the game is finding its next generation even earlier.

If you are talking only about India, I would change "football, baseball, or basketball" to "cricket" (unless you intended football to mean soccer, in which case that is acceptable)!
The biggest problem in India I would say is the number of courses. I am from Chennai, a large metropolis, and to the best of my knowledge there are only 2 courses (not sure if they are even public).
