South Korea Joins Bush With Golf Ban

President George W Bush said earlier this year that he gave up golf because it looked bad. South Korea's President Lee Myung-bak has urged his government as joined him in not playing either. It actually makes a little more sense in South Korea where it costs a fortune to golf.

The angle they aren't looking at though, is public trust. Sure, they are giving up golf for the country, but can you really trust someone who doesn't golf?

wow. i don't know what to think of all this. i don't think fiscal responsibility is a good reason to give it up "for the people". I think maybe give it up because you should be doing other things. Not saying that a round or 2 every couple weeks can't be done, but GW was spending a lot of the WRONG time on the course.

I'm not an expert on economics, but doesn't spending help the economy? Why on earth would the leader of any nation try to convince its citizens not to spend during economic hard times? Here's to you Dubya!
