Jeez Vijay- Try To Make It Interesting
By Kickntrue on 9/1/08
For the second year in a row it looks like the FedEx Cup is wrapped up before making it to the Tour Championship. Vijay Singh dominated a star-studded leaderboard on Monday to cruise to victory at the Deutsche Bank Championship giving him a nearly insurmountable lead in the FedEx Cup standings. For the 2nd year in a row- someone will win the $10M prize that really doesn't need the money.
All that aside- what a performance by Vijay. He learned to putt sometime in the past few weeks and has been unbeatable. That said- it was his iron play that won it for him. Going into Sunday he had made only 1 putt longer than 10 feet- and was still -14 going into Monday's final round.

It's all about the putting.
He went back to the longer putter! Try it! You'll like it! Although my tee to green game has been about the same as always, when I switched to the 48" putter several years ago it knocked my handicap down by at least 3 strokes. It ain't magic, just simple physics, as Vijay has found out time and time again.
