Having A Bad Day? Read This.
By Kickntrue on 9/29/08
You think you're having a bad day? Did you just lose your lunch in the stock market? Remember- it can always be worse.
Take for instance John Daly. Yah- you remember him- golfer, failed husband, heavy drinker, gambler and lover of hot wings (wow- I think I just wrote his tombstone). A couple months ago he had his cell phone stolen- by his ex-wife. Anyone who has ever had their phone stolen, lost or erased knows how much of a pain this actually is, especially when brought on by a jilted ex-lover.
But- I get it. This isn't THAT bad, certainly not worse than losing thousands of dollars. Well- how do you rank this? That seems worse, right?
So- relax, sit back, and count yourself lucky and blessed. It could be a lot worse.

mmmmmmmmmm, and you don't have or know anyone with these problems in there liefs... its true that John Daly has not had good luck or made good decisions for sure, but one thing he does have that you don't is a BIG HEART, his fund raisers and contributors are huge. how easy we forget the great shots and the crowds which cheered him on. yet some still feel compelled to re-hash or find blame on him. for me he will always be the avg American hero who made us all believe we could grip it and rip it and we did not have to be fit and ripped to play golf well. plus he still won 5 more events on the PGA tour I couldn't...
* 1991 PGA Championship
* 1992 B.C. Open
* 1994 BellSouth Classic
* 1995 British Open
* 2004 Buick Invitational
But would you be saying all those nice things about him if he was just the guy down the street sitting in the bar? Fundraising is done every day by millions of people in the country without the accolades of the public. Charitable contributions are TAX WRITE-OFFS.
Let's not canonize a man just because he hits the ball far, shakes some hands and reminds you of your drunk cousin that the family ACCEPTS even though he can't keep a job and drinks too much. His excessive behavior turned him from the everyday guy overcoming the odds to a sad story of a great talent wasted.

I didn't think the above was that bad. I'm on my 2nd wife, I love to gamble and in my day was a huge fan of the keg parties... so basically he was describing me but it didn't hurt my feelings... Nothing would be worse than the other article about not taking a dump for 17 days cause some bonehead stapled your ass shut...
man, i love JD. if he would have put his mind to it, he couldve been one of the all time greatest. he had/has so much talent.
