Danny Lee Wins Johnnie Walker Classic

US Amateur Champion Danny Lee of New Zealand won the Johnnie Walker Classic in Australia. Lee (18) finished at -17 to win by one stroke. Because he's an amateur Lee has to forfiet the $298,000 payday for first place. Lee became the youngest winner in European Tour history.
I would have been declaring myself pro on the 72nd green! Oh- it's not like he did it against a bunch of no-name chumps either. Teeing it up in the Johnnie Walker were Lee Westwood, Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, Colin Montgomeri and Anthony Kim.
It seems like every week there is a new "Next Great ..." to challenge Tiger Woods in the near future. While this is great for golf, I think it is a 100% result of Tiger Woods. All of these amazing young guns (Kim, McIllroy, Lee, Ryo) are all of an age where they saw Tiger from the start as kids under the age of 10. I think you'll find a wave of new players continue to roll in and start slowing bringing in the new gaurd. The hope would be that the whole Tour is better top to bottom each week.
