It is amazing the way he can make those long putts in the clutch - I don't root for him - but you have to hand it to him

Let's be serious, guys. O'Hair CHOKED. Tiger played well but 3 under par should not make up 5 STROKES on the last day of a tourney.

GolfSmith7 says:
I don't think he chokes if its not Tiger breathing down his neck.

ToddRobb says:
Of course he choked, and for good reason, that doesn't diminish the fact that
Tiger won. Choking is a direct result of not being comfortable in the situation at hand. Tiger lives for situations like that, as a matter of fact, he wants a close match because he knows if it's close he will always have a mental edge, which right now no other player is even coming close to. One thing they need to work on is their celebrations, they've got the ugliest "Hi Five" in sports.

Say what you want, Tiger is by far the best player in the world. He will eventually catch the Bear and Nelson. Today I believe O'Hair choked, but in the long run, no one will remember. They will remember that he won Bay Hill...uhhh...how many times in a row.

It's going to be very interesting if he becomes the "come from behind" guy. Kinda the way Jordan developed a jump shot and took his game to a whole new level, if Tiger starts winning tournaments from 5 strokes back on Sundays,,, my goodness, are we ready for that???

kidputter says:
Jordan had a jump shot in college, if you remember. Jordan's game elevated when they allowed him to travel and double dribble (crossover is palming the ball). Tiger's game is what it is. He makes the shots when he needs to and wins as a result. I don't see the PGA altering rules to favor any player to increase ratings. All they have to do is put out quality players in competitive environments. Beautiful courses, competitive matches and the anticipation of a guy coming from behind to win. Or someone knocking off the BIG GUN.

you guys try winning anything from 5 back, see if you win. choke or no choke, who has the W for winner, Tiger. O'Hair has an L for loser!.... but a nice check for the weekend!!

terpsno1 says:
You have to hand it to him for that Up & down from that ridiculous lie in the sand - and the birdie on the last hole

He won that tournament - it wasn't given to him

Like I said - I am not a fan of his but the man is money when it matters

kidave, Jordan made ONE jump shot in college, that's the one you remember, when he got to the Bulls he wasn't shooting three pointers. Throughout Tiger's career he hasn't been the guy that could come from behind, it was either he was already leading or he was one or two strokes back. Five strokes is a whole different animal, what wins golf tournaments is putting, always has, always will. O'Hair had to watch Tiger make putt after putt after putt, that would help anyone on tour "choke". If Tiger keeps doing what he did to O'Hair, the PGA won't have to worry one bit about ratings, everyone will tune in every week to see if he can do it again.

ToddRobb says:
One last point, Jordan developed a "fade away" jump shot, which was what took his game to the next level.

GolfSmith7 says:
The one thing that separates atheletes like Jordan and Tiger is that each one will look you in the eye in a pressure situation and you can see that they welcome the challenge, rather thrive in it while other tend to wilt.

Choke or no choke, If you let Tiger's red shirt intimidate you on a Sunday, just dont show up to play. O'Hare was in the final group last year at Bay Hill. Even though he wasnt in contention for the win last year, Im sure it was on his mind...Another gravesite for Tiger "The Man" Woods on the 72nd hole.

Tiger is Awesome. I was happy to tune into a golf event on Sunday and watch him win another title. He always makes it an interesting finish.

owenhyne says:
That was awesome to watch. Tiger's sand out on 17 was incredible. O'Hare did choke, but that's nothing to hold against him. Most players on the tour have good rounds and bad rounds and that's why nobody dominates like Tiger. He's consistently on another level. O'Hare just isn't Tiger Woods and can't be held to Tiger's bar. What an amazing prelude to Augusta.
