Scotty Cameron made a special putter headcover to commemorate the first major of the year. He sold out in less than a day at $116 a piece.
All 2,009 headcovers were made in the United States from brown leather, foam and shearling wool. Over 90,000 stitches were made to create the pink and white flowers and the Cameron logo.Awww cute. There are 2009 of them since it's the year 2009. Each headcover features peaches along with the tagline, "Augusta Georgia ... Sweet Nectar of Golf."
I'm not a hater but $116 seems like a lot of money to spend on a headcover (especially one this ugly). He should've stitched a Georgian co-ed on the headcover with the same tagline, "Georgia Peaches ... The Sweet Nectar of Life." THAT I could get into (I could be a bit biased since my wife was born in Georgia).
Since they sold out yesterday we'll now see how many punks bought them. Ebay has 6 available already and a couple already sold. Get yours while you can.
