Texas A&M Wins NCAA's
By Kickntrue on 6/1/09
Texas A&M won the men's NCAA Golf Championship this weekend, the first in the school's history. It's a shame that college golf is mostly ignored, because some of the brightest players in the PGA's history came from playing college golf, including Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods who both won individual titles while in school. Plus, the team sport doesn't lack any drama.
Hands on his hips, Texas A&M's Bronson Burgoon stood over a ball nestled deep in the rough and 120 yards from the hole.Eh, I guess if you're going to close out a tourney, that's one way to do it! I mean, it takes a bit of the drama out of the walk to the putt though. I'm sure Burgoon didn't mind. Congrats to the Aggies as well as Matt Hill, the North Carolina State sophomore who won the individual title.
Also- check out Golfweek's coverage of the NCAA Tourney including great pictures HERE. Nobody does college and amateur golf better.

Bronson has a scorecard from the Texas State 5a tournament posted in one of our local courses here in Austin, Roy Kizer. He shot a 61 that day and went on to win state. I guess he's pretty decent at golf. Congrats to A&M.
Gig 'Em Aggies!!!!!!
Another example of some of the fine Golfers that have come out of the State of Texas!! Boys, also remember USC has produced some good players over the years!! JWHpurist
Trevor Spring says:
I have seen that scorecard. The guy went birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie to finish. Hope to see him on tour.
