How will Rory fare?
US Open Pairings
By Kickntrue on 6/12/09
The USGA released their first and second round pairings for the US Open next week at Bethpage Black. Here are a couple groups I'll be watching:
8:06 a.m.-1:36 p.m. GÇô Padraig Harrington, Ireland; Angel Cabrera, Argentina; Tiger Woods, Windermere, Fla.That Tiger group is going to be a lot of fun, but my "best" of the day is the young Kim, McIlroy, Johnson group. My prediction is that we see the first day leader come from there. Just a hunch.

WOW wish i was not going to be living in a tent that whole week. Thank goodness for my crack berry
I like these:
7:44 a.m.-1:14 p.m. GÇô Vijay Singh, Fiji; Jeev Milkha Singh, India; K.J. Choi, South Korea
1:47 p.m.-8:17 a.m. GÇô Rocco Mediate, Los Angeles; Kenny Perry, Franklin, Ky.; Tom Lehman, Scottsdale, Ariz.
7:55 a.m.-1:25 p.m. GÇô Geoff Ogilvy, Australia; Jim Furyk, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; Paul Casey, England
1:36 p.m.-8:06 a.m. GÇô Retief Goosen, South Africa; Ernie Els, South Africa; Phil Mickelson, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
If Perry and Rocco are their normal, chatty, fun-loving selves, I think that would be the best group to mic.
they're already calling the Mediate, Perry, Lehman pairing "The Heartache Group" because they all were in the final pairing of a major and lost.
it looks like the Els, Goosen and Mickelson pairing is the "3 Majors and Hoping For More Group."
i like how the USGA takes certain liberties for the US Open pairings. it's kinda fun.
WHOOPS! sorry....the Goose only has 2 majors. forgot.
Let's hope the first day leader comes from that young group, I have Dustin Johnson in the Father's Day Giveaway!
Hopefully Rory makes the cut and finishes in the top 15 at worst. Lets go Rory!
