All The Ways To Follow The US Open
By Kickntrue on 6/18/09
If you're stuck at work... there are still ways to watch US Open coverage.

There is an offical iPhone app that has streaming video and leaderboards (just search for "us open championship"). I checked it out this morning, and the iPhone app actually has pretty solid video coverage, at least over Wireless.

If you have no television, your one stop shop is USOpen.com. You'd find streaming video, leaderboards and anything else you need. If you really need entertainment- just launch the video player and read the "fan comments." Ther is clearly no moderator and it's a continuous flame war and hatefest between what seems like middle schoolers.

If you are lucky enough to have a tv, ESPN coverage starts at 10am EST. Oh- and Direct TV has something where you can watch a bunch of different cameras in HD to choose from. ... lucky bastards.

If you can't stand just watching and need to feel like you're there don't forget you can play Bethpage Black online at USOpen.com or on your Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 or other gaming system with EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Good luck getting anything done today and tomorrow!

I hate that they take away shot tracker for the majors... Why?!?!?!?

Kickntrue says:
It's because that's a PGA Tour feature, and the majors so far have been run by Augusta and now the USGA. I would bet money it'll be available for PGA Championship.

@ Kickntrue... That's a shame. Shot Tracker is the best way to follow on a limited bandwidth, especially in a corporate environment when video feeds are blocked due to bandwidth usage.

Shot Tracker IS a PGA TOUR feature. Kickntrue is mostly correct in that because the major championships are not run by the TOUR it is not available. However, most likely the PGA Championship won't have Shot Tracker because it is run by the PGA of America NOT the PGA TOUR. They are two different organizations.

I've enjoyed following on Twitter all day. Ian Poulter has posted some pretty funny tweets. And through the U.S. Open website you can follow rounds of Tiger, Phil, or Rory McIlroy and they are blogging EVERY shot, including info about the lie. It's pretty neat if you're not able to actually watch the coverage.
