At Least Steal Something Good!
By Kickntrue on 8/14/09
If you're going to steal- and face the same prosecution anyway at least steal something good- not 500 PRACTICE balls from a driving range.
Still- you have to LOVE the police report and description of the stolen property,
"The balls are all white and marked with a practice logo. Police believe the golf balls were taken sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and they are asking the public for help finding the thief."Hmmm... White golf balls... hmm.. sounds familiar. Keep going... Marked with a practice logo.... hmmm...
OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! I KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!!!! I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!!! I SAW THEM LAST NIGHT AT THE DRIVING RANGE BY MYYYYY HOUSE IN MARYLAND!!
Weird. How did they get from Iowa to Maryland? Who should I call?

I stoll a range ball when I got to play TPC Sawgrass. Does that make me a bad guy?
-Clint24 haha ive done that at a nice course hahaha

You mean....greeen fees at a prestigious course don't include a free range ball?
I'm still trying to figure out what to do when I find a range ball on a course that doesn't have a range....
If you have ever attended a PGA Tour event, you will notice the practice balls being absconded all week!!! Pretty cool too - the PGA Tour donates all of the practice balls after an event to local First Tee organizations, etc. for junior golfers to use!!!
Wait a second. I saw those practice balls here in Arizona yesterday. They get around more than ELVIS!
I take practice balls all the time!
Let me explain. The local course has two size bags, 50 balls for 9 dollars, or 100 balls for 10 dollars. So, obviously renting the 100 balls is the much better deal, but at times I don't feel like hitting all 100 balls. So i hit away and when i'm tired/done I put the rest of the balls in my bag and leave. I come back later and hit the remaining balls at a later date, so I figure I'm in the clear on any criminal charges.

When you buy a bucket of balls, I don't think I've seen it specified anywhere that you HAVE to hit them on the range...
@cph2133 and @bjohn13- while i'm sure many can see your point of view- I'm not sure you'd have an easy time convincing the Five-0 of your point.
the guy who stold these should come steal the ones at my club cuzzzzz they r terrrrible. 75% of them are either cut, worn down, or basically dont have any dimples. due to the fact that they are landing on hard pan and not grass. the driving range does not fit the course. so yah please come steal our range balls so they will get new ones

I got 10 in my bag right now, great for chipping and putting.... also great for water holes during rounds lol
Jc Perez- I hate to burst your buble about the range balls for the water holes, but I hope you know that they go 20% shorter than a regulation ball.
