![]() I could see it... Sad. Weird Golf Course Death By Kickntrue on 10/5/09
Usually when I find death on the golf course stories- they involve a cart or a heart attack, but not this one. This story involves a 61 year old Texan and an embankment.
Sgt. Kevin Perlich said 61-year-old William Michael Grant was playing in a tournament Friday at Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson when he overshot a green. There is a course near me where I could totally see this happening. It is an island green where the edges are unguarded and fall about 10 feet into water. The thing is- on the edges of the lake are concrete foundations which you'd hit first. There have been a couple times when I've been walking backwards to read a putt- not even thinking about it only to have someone else warn me. I'm an admitted klutz, but it's not crazy to think this could happen. Clearly, at another course- it did. Full Story photo source [ comments ] And for a max $5 golf ball....that sucks. Atleast he was doing smoething he probably LOVED. 10/5/09
