$68M Buys A Sweet House
![]() I don't know why Tiger is spending all that money in Florida on his new place when for $68M he could buy a mansion with a private Rees Jones course attached.
Toptenrealestatedeals.com ranked a Bridgehampton, N.Y. home the No. 1 golf home in America. And why not? It comes with an 18-hole Rees Jones designed golf course, which makes getting a tee time pretty easy.So... if every oob member through in... about $600 we could probably buy it... not that bad when you think about it. Of course, fighting all of you guys for a tee time would kind of suck. I'm pretty sure the joy of buying your own course is ... buying your own course. Plus- in New York, you're really only playing for about 8 or 9 months. I'd imagine you allow your friends to play- and I'd hope you take advantage of available golf, but how could it possibly be worth maintaining the course? If you are away on business for 3 weeks (and I'd imagine if you have $68M you have SOME business) do you still have the course mowed, or do you just make sure a day or two ahead of time it's ready for you? @banker85- dang. my realtor must have lied to me. he said if I wrote him a check for $10k he could secure me the property. 11/23/09
I just checked out the sotheby's website and if you think about it...68 mil for that house on that piece of property isn't too bad. sure, i can't afford it. for the person who can it is a steal. 11/24/09
u think tiger took out a loan when he bought his house, or just paid straight cash? 11/24/09
