Screw you Nova Scotia! How can one of your judges rule the Happy Gilmore Swing to be illegal? Not cool.

A Canadian judge has ruled the “Happy Gilmore” golf swing has “breached the standard of care owed to other players on the course.”

“I am convinced that the “Happy Gilmore” shot,” wrote Judge Le Blanc in his decision, “would have been less controllable than a normal tee shot, both because it involved a run-up to the ball (rather than an aimed shot from a stationary position) and because the defendant had been drinking throughout the day.”

What the heck qualifies a judge to make a ruling on a golf swing? There is more to this case obviously, but it actually makes the ruling MORE ridiculous. This was the outcome to an outing gone bad that included,

28 cans of beer, a bottle of tequila, and "some marijuana."

So basically, these guys are lit up- do the Happy Gilmore swing and then hit someone else on the course. The court's answer... ban the swing?!

And to think... I always talked about moving to Canada. I know we have to have one oober up in Nova Scotia. Could you PLEASE go video tape yourself doing the Happy Gilmore swing and send it to me to post on oob? We have to stand up and fight this!
