Ai Miyazato Knows How To Close
By Kickntrue on 2/22/10
The LPGA Tour kicked off this weekend and Ai Miyazato had a final round for the ages. Starting 6 strokes back of 2nd place finisher Suzann Pettersen, Miyazata shot a 9-under 63 and closed with a 30 foot birdie on the 18th hole for the victory. Honestly, it's a finish so amazing you probably wouldn't believe it in a movie. The comeback is especially amazing because you can hardly call Pettersen's 3 under round "folding," it's just that Miyazato's round was better.
Unfortunately... due to the Match Play Championship, Tiger news, Olympics, and the first nice weather in months... I didn't see any of it. I hope for the LPGA's sake, someone did.

I saw the last couple of holes. I'll be watching more LPGA this year as I think they play more like "us" than the fellas on the PGA do. IE: don't hit 300+ yard drives, 6 and 7 irons from 150/160, etc.
