Camilo Villegas Wins By 5
By Kickntrue on 3/8/10
Camilo Villegas won the Honda Classic this weekend by beating a strong field by 5 strokes. Impressive! I remember a couple years ago at the FedExCup, Camilo won two of the final 3 Cup events to finally break through. Last year was a bit of a struggle for Villegas, but I think he's proven that he's more than just a pretty face a funny way to line up putts.
I was out golfing yesterday so I didn't see much of the event, so if anyone has thoughts- I'd love to hear them. It sounds like Nathan Green had a pretty rough 17th hole.

I saw part of the mess on 17. It was a 'hey I can do that!' moment when he hit it out of the water and it rolled back in. And hit it again and it almost rolled back in.
These guys are so much better that I will ever be makes it interesting to watch them bone a shot like I would. To bad what's an aberation for them is my norm.

It was *really* interesting when Green hit his second shot out of the water and TWO golf balls emerged. Given Villegas' talent, his recent results, and his movie-star looks, I think the PGA Tour now has a (new) hot young star they can market to the general public.
