Tom Watson Discovers Flux Capacitor
By Kickntrue on 4/8/10
Is there any other explanation? You could write off the British Open last year as an amazing performance (read: fluke), but now...

I don't think Augusta National could ask for a better (early) 1st round leaderboard.

Watson
Westwood
Yang
Mickelson
Toms
Els

There's a little bit of everything. I hope the lack of comments on the site today is because you're watching golf and not doing something stupid like working.

Think Tom has 72 holes in him this time? A lot to be said for playing on a familiar track though. Kinda go on auto pilot a little and relax. Should be fun to watch...

I hope the final group is Watson,Mickelson,Couples. As much as I like all three, I wouldn't be disappointed no matter which one won.

@Tet- Unfortunately... no. It would be an amazing story- but the British had a lot working for it last year. A course he really loved, terrible conditions where his experience was more important than brawn, and a little luck with the leaderboard. There are too many top Tour studs at the top of this leaderboard for Watson to hold on.
