15,000 Free Callaway Drivers
Pay Up GolfSmith!
By Kickntrue on 4/12/10
Remember GolfSmith's "Win With Phil" promotion? Well- thousands of folks just won a free Callaway Driver. Congrats if it's you!
Anyone who either walked into a Golfsmith store and registered for the promotion or bought a new Callaway driver between March 10 and April 7, which turned out to be thousands, will now get their driver for free.I bet the insurance company was crapping their pants as Phil played bogey free golf yesterday! You can only play with fire so many times before it will burn you. This is the 3rd or 4th time GolfSmith has run this promotion but often with lesser players (Rocca Mediate? Good luck!). They finally put the Philly Mick in play- and we hit the jackpot.
The only downside- is that GolfSmith has had enough time to tweak the contest making it harder to win. When they first launched a similar promotion a couple years ago- anyone could enter via mail- with no purchase necessary. It was still no purchase necessary, but they did tighten the rules so you had to register in person at a store- a luxury I don't have.
I know some oober out there had to be one of the winners. Please check in and let us know how you feel today and what it was like rooting for Phil down the stretch yesterday!

i can't believe i passed on this. "i am such an idiot."
thats awesome that he won. Congrats Phil and all the people who bought the driver and now get it for free
wow. i really wish i had gone to golfsmith in the last 6 months. maybe buying everything online isnt always the best thing
YES!!! Waiting for my free driver to come in the mail! Too bad it will take 3-4 months...
I actually went to the store and could have registered, but didn't because I when I hit the demo club it felt like a wet rag. I guess I should have registered anyway and then sold the club on Ebay. Oh well, good for Phil and good for Golfsmith!
