This Post Is About Tiger
By Kickntrue on 4/23/10
Some people seem to be getting sick of Tiger Woods posts- so I'm giving you as much warning as possible to not click through. Funny though- when I look at the site's stats... more people still read the Tiger articles (funny how that works).
Anyway- Tiger posted on his blog a day or so ago- thanking fans for their treatment of him at Augusta National for the Masters as well as congratulating Phil and his family for their major victory, and apologizing for his language. All that is nice and good- but here is the part that jumped out to me,
"I took a little time off after the Masters to go scuba diving and spend time with my family. But I did enjoy a fun round of golf with my friend John Cook at Isleworth Country Club. I double-eagled the par-5 17th hole -- the third of my life -- with a 5-wood and shot 63, so my game is improving."Dude- how are you going to just throw that in?! Double Eagle! I would've led off with that nugget- and made sure to tell every single Denny's waitress from Orlando to LA about it!
Can you imagine the feeling? Can you imagine doing it 3 times?!

I can't imagine Eagling ONCE!!
I'm going to personally count a "double-eagle" when (and if I ever) get two eagles
ya having no eagles on any scorecards to this guy with 3 double eagles crazy. Glad to see tiger sharing things with us and glad to see him in good spirits Tiger.
I am assuming Andrew you posted this right? not that we dont like to read about tiger for something like this but the nickleback post was an example of the post we dont like. just my opinion.
by the way you do great work and i freaking love this site!
Good call Banker
Like to watch and follow Tiger the golfer, not the Tiger TMZ and other rags like to publish about him. And having him feel like he has 'apologize to the world' for swearing on the course was the straw that broke the camel's back for me, seriously.
I don't usually 'lose it' on the course when I hit a crap shot, but I'm not happy either. Then again, I'm not playing for potentially $4,000 a shot/putt either. I think I might have a few choice words when I missed a shot too, if that were the case...
well put lcgolfer, F that about him cursing, they should not have allowed that to be on tv if it was such a big deal(not even sure if it was on tv) guarantee he wasn't the only cussing, I don't want to know anything about TW other than what he does on the course. the freaking media acts like they are the moral court well screw them, people are random and do what they do, anyways Hope Tiger wins at The Players!
In case you were wondering, yes i am wasted.
Andrew, don't be so sensitive who cares if we rag on your blogs sometimes it has to be expected. Post what ever you want, it is all entertaining either way.
side note - if you want to golf pretty much whenever you want 1. easy answer be single. 2. don't have two kids in 2 years. I bet i could go pro if i could golf as much as i WANT TO! love you wife and kids!
@Banker - Great follow up posts, loved the 'Oh and yes, I'm wasted' - almost blew the coffee all the the keyboard... haha! Agree with ya on the Andrew remarks - post whatever you want, its all good. I follow Oob pretty much daily. Best $10 I spent, the Addict Status! I work from home too, so I get the luxury of having it online all day.
And yep single (divorced) has it pitfalls and benefits - Right now I'm enjoying playing golf pretty much everyday (sorry Banker, I'll try and play a couple extera rounds for ya this week) But ya do have the benefit of probably a great wife and sounds like two wonderful bambino's!
he has fun because he is getting Albatrosses lol. i would have fun too doing that.
I havent even been close to a double eagle! Have 6 eagles in my career, but nothing close to holing out on a par 5. Im not surprised that Tiger has 3 Double Eagles, he is rediculous.
Torleif Sorenson says:
Wait a second... Tiger is carrying a *5-wood* in his bag??!!
LOL @ Torleif & jbird2010
