Seriously... golf makes the world go round... and apparently saves the day from time to time. It looks like golf balls could play an integral role in helping fix the issues BP is having in stopping the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Admiral Thad Allen, the Coast Guard commander in charge of dealing with the crisis, said that the next move to stem the flow would be a 'junk shot'.
Speaking to CBS television's Face The Nation, he said: "They're going to take a bunch of debris - shredded up tyres, golf balls and things like that - under very high pressure and shoot it into the [blowout] preventor."
I have no clue what that means.. or how it's going to help- but I'm sure it says golf balls are going to fix the spill. That I'm sure of.

yep, never saw one leak there so it obviously works. :) hahaha. All the worlds problems can be solved by golf. I hope they're using junk balls and not buying up like a billion boxes of ProV1s. Our tax dollars at work, right?
