Hallelujah! More Masters Coverage
By Kickntrue on 9/21/10
Don't get too excited (because we're only talking about an extra hour) but ESPN will be airing more live Master's coverage in 2011.
The Masters will add an extra hour of live tournament coverage on ESPN for the first two rounds of the tournament beginning with the 2011 event, Augusta National Golf Club chairman Billy Payne announced Tuesday.

The 2011 Masters will air on ESPN from 3 to 7:30 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8.
So yah... good news, more coverage. Bad news- it's still only 4 1/2 hours per day of the most anticipated golf tournament in the world- when they're playing golf for about 12.

While I'm often anti-ESPN, this one is all on Augusta National and the green-jacketed stuff-balls. Still... it's progress.

I just saw this. Story also states that even with the extra hour it is still the least televised major.

To paraphrase a fellow Oober from another post, "the Masters guys are douches". I can watch major golf all day.

Sidenote: my spellchecker corrected "Oober" to "lover" above. Good thing I didn't just hit post!!

OK..these ads that pop up full screen randomly are getting annoying..I'm looking at you Hundai and SunTrust..

Also, yay for more coverage.

yes, on oob. (IE 6, work computer)

Zepo1a says:
it may be some nefarious mouse rollover code that then expands the ad full screen. Though I swear I never rollover the thing with the mouse...

Zepo1a says:
just tried google chrome, does the exact same thing as ie 6, ad takes over the page. Hundai and SunTrust are the only ones that do it so far as I have noticed.
