I love me some oob stats!
Happy Belated Statistics Day
By Kickntrue on 10/21/10
I can't believe (not really) we missed World Statistics Day yesterday! If you keep your calendar internationally, yesterday was 20.10.2010 and the United Nations wants (or wanted) you to know yesterday was supposed to be all about statistics. Sure- oobgolf wasn't exactly what they had in mind, but why should we miss a good celebration?!
The celebration of the World Statistics Day will acknowledge the service provided by the global statistical system at national and international level, and hope to help strengthen the awareness and trust of the public in official statistics. It serves as an advocacy tool to further support the work of statisticians across different settings, cultures, and domains.Eh- good enough for me! I'm out of here to celebrate- so I'm going to leave you in Nathan's capable hands until Monday. Please feel free to ridicule him mercilessly.

Please feel free to ridicule him mercilessly.
Nathan, suck it.
Can' we ridicule one who's off to celebrate while the rest of us are stuck at work?
Statistically; One who partakes of midweek leisure or celebration is more likely to be the recipient of merciless ridicule, by a sample group of individuals engaged in productive activity, than an individual who is similarly engaged in productive activity.
When are we getting standard deviation and correlation and regression analysis?!
Screw statistics (specifically OOB's), they tell me I am doing worse the more I play this game. Their honesty is bad for my psychological well being.

There are 3 kinds of people, Liars, Damn Liars, and Statisticians... Or alternately..There are three kinds of people, Those that are good at math, and those that are not.
