Happy Veterans Day
By Kickntrue on 11/11/10
Despite varying personal views on foreign policy, I think we can all get behind what our military personnel have sacrificed for our country. Happy Veterans Day- and Thank You!
If you have a couple minutes today- check out how the PGA Tour is involved with the military and our troops. I've got to hand it to the PGA Tour, while it's easy to look at it as a somewhat troubled organization and a good ole' boys club, they sure do know how to raise money. No other sport comes close to the giving of the PGA Tour and golf in general.

The bravery of their efforts is the reason we get to enjoy the plesures of golf in a free nation.
Thanks! I'm a vet. Any others? Got to golf for free today on a local course. Thanks Haggin Oaks! Ex Navy - last command: Attack Squadron 147.

You're welcome. It was my honor to serve.
Thank you guys! ^^
I did not serve. But had many in my family that did including Korea, Viet Nam and Desert Storm. I'm proud to have a day put aside to honor you and those that have gone before, thank you all again.
I served and I thank you all for your service. USMC Hoorah!
I attended my grandaughter's Veteran's Day program at her elementary school. I was proud that the schools did such a thing. The children gave us coffee and cake and small American flags...USAF Vietnam.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
I am retired from the Air Force - I thank all of the Veterans who have served proudly for this great country.
I too am retird from the Air Force. Thanks to all the Veterans that have served before me and that are currently serving. The support from those at home made it easier to get the job done when we needed to. It was an honor to serve and defend the country in which I live..
Former Air Force, 10 1/2 years. Thanks to those who serve and have served!
me: 3rd ID, 2nd Bat, 64th Armor then later 82nd AirBorne. Late 70's early 80's
Thank you all!!! I am very grateful to all the men and women who have served and do serve this great country. Some have paid the ultimate price to provide the freedom that we sometimes take for granted. We should dedicate a month instead of a day to these great people.
Kurt the Knife says:
I'm all for that month long thing especially if haggin oaks lets me play free.
BTW KVsmith59, was the course very crowded?
Thank you to all who served.
Cool local story. I actually reffered my mother-in-law to this guy for her kitchen remodel. He lived behind me when I was growing up.
