PGA Q School In The Books
By Kickntrue on 12/7/10
We now know who the card carrying members of the PGA Tour will be in 2011. Leading the way- Tour vet Billy Mayfair.
Billy Mayfair shot a 2-under 70 to win the final stage, one shot ahead of William McGirt (68). Mayfair finished 18 under for the tournament, earning $50,000 for first place. Those at 9 under or better received a PGA Tour card, including four Nationwide players who qualified earlier and were seeking to improve their position.

Among the notables who did not qualify out of Q-school: Brett Waldman (68), the caddie for Camilo Villegas; Erik Compton (73), a two-time heart transplant recipient; Briny Baird (71), who lost his card on the final hole of the year at Disney to finish No. 127 on the money list.
Also making the cut was Joseph Bramlett, a Stanford grad who will join Tiger Woods as the 2nd person on Tour of black decent. Ummm... that's how the article states it, but I'd sure be curious to know what color Vijay Singh says his skin is. Political correctness at its best. At any rate- very cool. You can read Bramlett's story through the link.

Fresh blood is always good on Tour- and this season proved anyone can win in any week!

Yea I thought that about the whole "black descent" thing too. I guess Fijian isn't really considered "black"? What's with black anyway? i thought we didn't use that anymore. isn't it "african american" now? or is it socially acceptable now? i'm so confused. the next question is "who cares"?
dpoimboeuf says:
Who Cares is right. Vijay hails from Fiji, but he is actually of Indian descent.
