Earl Woods Jr. On Tiger
By Kickntrue on 12/20/10
Tiger's half brother Earl Woods Jr. did an interview for a CNN special on Tiger's 2010. While I think it's fair to be skeptical of his motives- there doesn't appear to be much ill-will, just more of a sadness. Earl Woods Jr. says Tiger has cut off all contact since his father's funeral in 2006. He'd love to reconnect but says he understands the hurt in Tiger's life and only hopes the best for him.
As close as Tiger was to his father it's reasonable to assume he'd have trouble being close to Earl's son that shares his exact name. Sad to think Tiger hasn't communicated in so long to blood relatives. Assuming they weren't trying to capitalize off the name (and mooch), which of course we don't know, you'd hope to see family close in any situation. In the end- they're the ones that will be there.
/cue sappy Christmas music.

Hmmm ... a special CNN special. I guess then it must have been extra special. Like you, I am cynical about the motives of relatives or friends of celebrities who conduct interviews or pass along information on their famous kin or buddies.
@bkuehn1952- Thanks. I edited my mistake. It's Monday 5 days before Xmas. Forgive me!
I guess that makes me "that guy".
that is sad, I understand Tiger is busier than we could imagine but i would think he would want a relationship with his brother and his fathers name sake. but every family has their idiosyncrasies so we dont know what going on. Either way seems like he just wants to be close to his brother.
I thought a lot of the problem started from the kids from Earl's first marriage not accepting Tida and Tiger, and that is something Tiger has never forgotten.
Kurt the Knife says:
Yeah, I recall that same story of the break in family ties because apparently the elder Woods was a total sleaze with the women. Some of the relations didn't like it.
It was very, hmm, erry and uncanny how much Jr. looks like his father. In the middle of the video, they go from Jr. to a picture of Sr. and its just amazing. I wonder if Tiger took to the death of his father much harder than anyone can imagine. Once Sr. passed away, Tiger did lose a mentor and someone to keep him straight, and then all this happened. My theory, but we'll never know til the book comes out...
