Sex Offender Caught On Golf Course
By Kickntrue on 12/21/10
Florida is such a weird state. You have old people. You have a huge coastline full of affluence. An then you have ... the rest of the state. I don't even know where to start... so straight to the blockquote!
A registered sex offender wanted on charges of groping girls at a Valrico Walmart was found injured on a golf course Monday, police said.

Robert Paul Smith, 40, of Largo, was taken into custody when fire crews and police found him just after 3 p.m. on the 17th hole of Largo's Municipal Golf Course, 12500 Vonn Road.

Smith appeared to have self-inflicted injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Authorities had been looking for Smith since the weekend, when they say he touched six young girls Saturday afternoon inside the store.
Apparently Smith was a registered sex offender who in 2000 spent some time in jail for a conviction on a charge of "lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16." Umm... can someone please tell me why this sick f*#k is not crispy?! Why is he walking the streets?!

And WHY did he go to a golf course? On the plus side- not usually a lot of 10-16 year old girls at a golf course so maybe it was a safer place for humanity that he was there. He's lucky a few golfers didn't know who he was or what he's done. I'm guessing when you're a child molesting sicko it's not best to frequent joints where everyone is carrying a bag of weapons.

I know this is HARDLY news worthy of oobgolf- but this man deserves to have his name and picture as many places on the internet as possible so people keep him locked up.

Crispy is too good for this disgusting thing - having been a victim of sexual abuse when I was a child, there is NOTHING lower than scum like this! Self inflicted - hopefully he took a 9-iron to his own melon!!! I certainly would like to...
mjaber says:
If the injuries hadn't been self-inflicted, I would have asked if maybe a couple of the girls' dads were out for a round and ran into him... Actually, that's not a bad idea. Give the parents a couple of nice 3-ball putters and let them have at it. Put them in a room, lock the door, and don't open it until the "Jeopardy!" music stops.

I lived in Naples a few years.
My dad worked in prisons there.
I learned too much about folks of the interior.
Couldn't stay there.

@mjaber - 3 ball putters at their 2 balls!!! I like it!!!

Wow. It's people like that who really make me question if humanity is going to make it. This guy should not have been walking around. Putting his name on a "registered list" isn't going to cure him and i'm sure nothing will.
Bryan K says:
X: Well....I hold hope that there is a cure someday for sex offenders because I believe the future of our children depends on it. That said, there is a pretty convincing argument that putting offenders on a registry does more to lead them to offend again than anything.
mjaber says:
I do have some other creative ideas, though not golf related, for people like him.

Make him a pedestrian... during a NASCAR race.

Rack him.

Hang him by his ankles with barbed wire, over a nest of fire ants, and coat his fingers in honey.
Matt F says:
He should be shot in the head with a ball of his own sh*t.

Banker85 says:
a cure??? people have been doing this forever, you cant correct all the wierdos in the world they will always be there being there disgusting freaks they are. what we do is protect and educate our children and burn the fu*ks we catch so they can never do it againg becasue someone like that does not rehabilitate enought o be out in the general public, they scar their victims for life and deserve to be scarrd their meaningless lifes by getting the hammer smashed on them.
