What the Heck is a K-Vest?
By Kickntrue on 3/2/07
Golf improvement gadgets are a unique part of the golf industry. There are so many different ideas and gimmicks around, it's hard to decipher what is real and helpful. I have never tried a K-Vest, so I can't speak for its helpfulness, but I must say it looks... "interesting".
I personally think the K-Vest would be better suited as a crazy video game controller for the new PS3 or something. I'm not sure I like the idea of paying hundreds to have someone watch me swing with a bulky bullet-proof vest on.
Another good point Deep Rough brought up when I was discussing this with him, was that the sensors are on the gloves and neck and back, but nowhere on the clubface. What if you have a bad grip?
So- I leave it up to you. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I think the idea of it is to improve the swing. If your swing mechanics are good then minor fixes can be made in the grip. But everyone knows the hardest part of the game is consistant and proper swing mechanics.
The K-VEST is super light weight, around 2 ounces each sensor. The K-VEST is no gimmick, its one of the best products i've ever used for golf. As there is no more guessing if you are in the right position, it tells you, green animation and music your in the correct position, red animation and no music your out of position. the K-VEST sensor on the hand using the bio-feedback allows you to improve the players grip as well. The sensor on the glove is the same as clubface, what ever your left wrist does in the swing the clubface does (Golf Machine) It measures Bend, Side Bend and Rotation (3 Degrees of Freedom throughout the swing) Swing plane errors (effect) are due to poor body positions (cause)
