Mickelson Ready to Defend Masters Title

Golf season is almost here.
The superbowl is over, the groundhog did not see his shadow and the Masters is only six weeks away. Smell that (big inhale)? I can almost smell the sweet scent of spring.
With the Masters less than two months away, Phil Mickelson spoke to the media recently to discuss his shot on hole 13 last year, the menu for the champions dinner and his love for Augusta.
In the seven years since Phil Mickelson rolled in an 18-footer for birdie to win his first Masters, he has made a point in every ensuing Masters of returning to that same spot on the 18th green at Augusta National to re-create the magic with a few practice putts.I am sooo ready for golf season. I am fortunate enough to be able to play golf most of the year, but it still feels like the off season.
In his interview with the press, Phil spoke about his invitation to past champion Seve Ballesteros to join him at the champions dinner. Ballesteros is battling brain cancer back in Spain so it's unlikely that he'll make it. But I think it was a great gesture by Phil.

Awesome gesture by Phil inviting Seve. He also announced his Champions Dinner menu - 3 kinds of BEEF!!! NICE!!!
I think Phil reached out to Seve and if Seve could attend, Phil wanted a recommendation on a Spanish-style dinner to honor him. As a past champion, Seve was already invited by Augusta National.
Two great passions of Phil--the golf course and the main course. Talk about hog heaven.

Yeah, I think he said when he was diagnosed with the arthritis that he was trying a veggie diet, but I don't think it stuck. Loved the meat video!
