Possible Bomb Diffused At Pebble Beach
By Kickntrue on 3/7/11
When someone says, "Pebble Beach is the bomb," they probably don't mean what happened over the weekend at the famed course (also- they should probably be told nobody says "the bomb" anymore).
A Monterey County bomb squad was dispatched Sunday morning to Pebble Beach Golf Links, where an apparent explosive device was found near the golf course, according to the sheriff's office. Not a lot of details- but pretty interesting. I hope more details continue to leak on this one. Seems like an odd place for an explosive device for both motive and design.
Since I know no more about this- and I already started the discussion above (on words/phrases that aren't longer cool)- I thought I'd at least throw out my pitch for the word "rad." Such a cool and simple word- and completely dead for no reason. I want ever oober to try to slip the word "RAD" into a conversation this week and report back with your results. I'm predicting smiles on behalf of everyone you're talking to. Bonus points if you drop it to a hipster and hear him using it later.
You can trust me on this because I've been told I'm the bomb! (Thanks Mom- I love you too!)

"Dad, you are so Rad" yeah, I can hear my 8 year old saying that, "not"
there's one for the list ;)
I'll get someone to use "rad" at some point this week.
On another note -- yea what an odd place for any sort of incendiary device. Perhaps it was a test site and they didn't know it was so close to the course? I was fully expecting to hear that it was just a scuba tank or something. Golf courses aren't even safe anymore. :( bah humbug.

What? No love for 'bitchin', 'gnarly' and 'boss'?
Just played there 2 weeks ago......Happy I avoided it :)
@lud5380- I see what you did there. That was rad how you snuck in the fact that you've played there while the rest of us suckas haven't. Way to rub that in!
Far out, and groovy, fer sure
wasnt trying to rub it in....played there and pacific grove golf club ( poor man's pebble ). Loved both. Pacific grove was unbelievable considering i paid 20 bucks at twilight....would play there every day if i lived close by. check out my pebble pics
