John Daly the Role Model?
By mustang6560 on 4/20/11
Who knew John Daly was a role model?
Daly was invited on Jon Gruden's QB Camp to watch video with future NFL and former Arkansas QB Ryan Mallet. He even contributed to the conversation by offering this advice to Mallet:
“The first thing I wish I would have done was that instead of worrying about how to handle everyone else, how do I handle me? I did a horrible job. I wasn’t ready for it,” Daly said. “I think the most important thing for Ryan is how he handles himself. Whether it’s an interview or whatever, listen to the question before you answer it.I'm not going to lie, John Daly actually gave Mallet good advice. Hopefully Mallet was tuned into what Daly was saying because, while I'm not THE go to judge on character (I should be), but Ryan seems like the kind of person who could easily get caught up in lifestyle of a successful NFL player and fall victim to the pitfalls (see Ben Roethlisberger).
Someone should give Daly a book deal. I can see it now, "John Daly: How to avoid being the next me". Joking aside, I bet he has a plethora of advice of things NOT to do that he could share with the world.

Sound advice from past experience. I wish I could talk to me 25 years ago...
Best way to learn is from someone elses mistakes!! PLUS YOUR A HOG HATER ANYWAY!! LOL...
@GolfinHawg- agreed. And if I ever need advice of what 'not' to do, you better believe I'd ask JD.
Which proves all life has been captured somewhere in a "Seinfeld" episode. As I recall George followed a similar strategy. He decided to always do the opposite of what he thought was the best way to proceed.
Hog Haters unite! WAR EAGLE!!! (Sorry, had to.)
