John Daly Talks Tiger Woods, Sex and Marriage
By mustang6560 on 4/28/11
First John Daly offered former Arkansas (and NFL hopeful) QB Ryan Mallet advice on how to avoid the same pitfalls he made. Now he's moved on to bigger and better things - offering Tiger Woods advice on marriage. Wait a second, doesn't John Daly have four ex-wives?

In an interview with 790 The Zone in Atlanta, John Daly admits he had an opportunity to talk to Tiger Woods about his fall from grace and how he could have handled it better. When asked if he had a chance to talk to Tiger about his very public scandal, Daly said:
I did last year at The PGA. And what we talked about I couldn't even fathom kind of telling you guys because it's a personal conversation, but it made me relieved of what Tiger was going through. Do I blame Tiger for what he did, and does he? Yes. But does he have a reason? Yes. And that reason is something I don't want to talk about. But I told him, ‘if you would have come out that night after the incident and told the world what was going on - not listened to your agents, not listened to anybody else, just what your heart said and thought what you just told me - this story would have ended in one day.'
As much as I would love to make fun of John Daly for giving advice, I simply can't. Despite his (seemingly) unstable career, he actually has a good head on his shoulder. Who knew?

I don't want to spoil any of the interview but it is a must read if you enjoy John Daly being John Daly. He's right about one thing, you can fault him for many things in life. But you can't fault his honestly. The man is upfront and honest, even when you don't want to hear it.

Funny this story came out today. This morning on our local sports radio station in Montgomery, AL, they had one of John Daly's ex-wives on for an interview promoting her new book titled Teed Off. When it came to talking about her marriage with Daly, she was not shying away herself. When she talked about other golfer's or wives, she did not use names, but pretty much said that Tiger was not the only one living that lifestyle on the Tour.

Right now they do not have a replay of the interview on their website, but if they do, I will attached a link.

If anyone thinks that Tiger was or is the only one on tour living that lifestyle, you are just plain crazy. One of the main reasons that Tiger was able to keep his secret as long as he did is because there are many people within his circle that know how the game works. For JD to say that Tiger has a reason for what he did speaks volumes. A lot of it comes from a sense of entitlement that many pro athletes develop over the many years of women throwing themselves at them. A friend of mine played in the NFL for 12 years and you wouldn't believe the stories.

@ToddRobb- I think you hit the nail on the head with the entitlement piece. That said- I do think there is something to be said for the women throwing themselves at you. It's easy to condemn Tiger, but until we try turning down 20 hot women a day for 10 years we should reserve at least some judgement.

@ToddRobb & Kickntrue: I 2nd that!

Yes, you guys wouldn't believe how much of a pain it is to have beautiful women throwing themselves at you all the time. Just follow me around on an average day, and you'll get an idea of how annoying it can be.
