Hazeltine Gets Camr'eamed
By Kickntrue on 5/9/11
Minnesota's treasure, Hazeltine National Golf Club was damaged over the weekend. The culprit? A 22 year old with a criminal record, a 1998 Toyota Camry clocked at 110 (?!) and the police chase that ensued.
During the 2 1/2-mile pursuit, Fermanyuk nearly hit another vehicle while attempting to pass on the right and drove east in the westbound lane of Hazeltine Boulevard before bursting through the golf course security gate.I drive a 1998 Toyota Camry. It has 145k miles on it and couldn't beat a grandma's Buick Lacerne off the line. How the heck did this dude get his going 110? I'd bail him out of jail to know the secret.
Hazeltine hosted the PGA Championship in 2002 and 2009 and is scheduled to host the Ryder Cup in 2016. The course, most notable for being the current (final?) resting site of Tiger's golf game, suffered some damage but shouldn't suffer any long term effects.

I had a '94 Saturn SC1, and a '98 Saturn SC2... both of those could get to 110 (probably more if not for the speed limiter installed by GM). No reason a Camry can't hit 110.
You may want to consider changing the oil once in a while if yours is running rough :)

WHAT!? You are at work? I, for one, am appalled.

The Interlachen Country Club in Edina is routinely rated higher than Hazeltine year after year, and after talking with some people who have played both, it is for a good reason.
Spinning rims and neon chassis lights will make your Camry reach 110. Perhaps with a shopping cart handle spoiler, you could reach 130...
