I'm back. Well, sort of.
I am in transit back from Colorado but my flight was canceled last night because of the tornados and thunderstorms in Dallas. If everything goes according to plan, I should be back in the office after lunch. I know Andrew missed me so I can only imagine y'all did too!
I'm glad to be back because it means the Rapture didn't actually happen (or maybe we were all left behind). I went out to Colorado to visit my grandpa who is not doing well. It was really good to see him and my grandma who are 91 and 85 respectively.
I read birdieXris's column "My Personal Golfing Story" and it got my thinking of my personal golfing story and I couldn't help but think it started with my grandpa. We never teed it up together and he didn't teach me how to golf, but he did expose my mom to this great game who exposed it to me. So it was really special to be able to share my hole in one story with him especially because he also has a hole in one. He got his the month after he retired.
We also talked about his favorite golfers - Sam Snead and Byron Nelson. He liked them because they were great shot makers and as he said, "they could pull of the shots I would try on the course." Even though his memory isn’t as good as it used to be and he may not remember my trip or my hole in one story, it meant a lot to me to be able to share it with him and it’s most definitely a memory I will hold on to for the rest of my life.
I'll do my best blogging from the airport today but please bear with me.

Safe travels Nathan - "see you" on OOB...
Also, it is "please bear with me" - sorry, English snob....:-)
