U.S. Open Live Coverage
By mustang6560 on 6/16/11
And we're off to the races. The start of the 111th U.S. Open is officially underway and I hope you are as excited as I am!

If you are also stuck at work like me, wishing you had the rest of the week off to watch the tournament, fear not my friends. You can find live coverage from Congressional Country Club on a couple places.

The U.S. Open website has a live feed that is covering one featured group at a time. Currently, it's Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer.

ESPN3 will start it's live coverage shortly (10 AM EST). It will have three separate live broadcasts including Marquee Group #2, coverage from the 18th hole and general U.S. Open coverage. The only trouble with ESPN3's coverage is you have to sign in using your cable providers username/password. I've got Comcast so I am able to sign in.

Anywho, you can view this post as our U.S. Open "open thread" to post all comments and questions about the tournament.

I love having a 27 inch spare monitor for stuff like this.
Means I dont have to lose my 4 normal working monitors :)

The big q is, why doesn't golf channel show this.

gpickin... The big a. because people want decent coverage...

I know it's not the same as watching live coverage, but the WSJ is live blogging from Congressional.

I want decent coverage, and only 2 hours isn't enough. When they show Big break for the 20th time this week, and show 2 hours of golf, and 4 hours of chat, I wonder if its the golf channel or the chitchat channel :)
srogers13 says:
Gpickin, it is because ESPN is paying for the right to show it, and they show it from 10a-3p and 5p-7p on their cable channel and ESPN3.com.
