Most Dangerous Golf Course in the World?

"If James Bond were to walk off the pages of a book; if Hemingway was again reporting on the world's troubles they could probably both be found relaxing over a drink at the Baghdad Country Club."
Wow, if I didn't know any better, I'd say Baghdad sounds like a swell place. Maybe I should plan my next golfing vacation to the Middle East. I mean, I've always wanted to play a desert-style golf course.
My brother stumbled upon the Baghdad Country Club website a couple days ago and sent it to me. The agency who launched the website did a good job with the design and copy, but I'm still not 100% convinced it is a real place. We don't have any courses in Baghdad, Iraq listed in our database so I'm very skeptical.
The website does include several email addresses and a phone number to let you believe it is true. But, when you click the "Where" link, all you get is "Classified" stamp. I guess it serves two purposes, 1) it showcases the club's exclusivity and 2) provides a real level of security for its members. The best part about the website is it says "No weapons are allowed in club. The management is happy to secure any firearms, grenades, flash bangs or knives in the club armory."
Has anyone heard about the BCC? I need to know if it's real or not because I want to offer to review the course for oobgolf if it is indeed a real place.

"what Baghdad was missing, apart from peace, stability, and economic infrastructure, was some good wine". Classic.
i believe it's just a restaurant...
I tried to search for a golf course around Baghdad using Google Maps, but no luck. The map did not provide any detail about the city. All it showed were the main highways around the city.
The hazards must be a blast to play from.
read an online interview with the owner...no mention of golf...probably just the most dangerous bar in the world...
Are you sure that this is not Bubba Watson's home course in Florida?
@toothid- I just tweeted at him asking if he's ever played BCC. we'll see if he takes the bait...
Here is a link to most dangerous golf course in the world.. Only one hole!!
LaJitas Golf Resort in the Big Bend area of Texas used to have a tee box on it's BlackJack's Crossing course, where you could hit a ball clean into another country. The tee was set up on a cliff, so that you could hit across the Rio Grande river onto a green in Mexico. Of course you couldn't cross the river to finish up. I tried to find a link to it but it must have been discontinued.
There seems to be a 6-hole golfcourse on Qayyarah Airfield West but that's a 200 miles or so from Baghdad.
There also is one golfcourse listed in Afhanistan: the Kabul golfclub. Seems more dangerous to me than one in IRAQ actually :D
