Ready For Flagstick Advertising?
By Kickntrue on 4/9/07
Ahh.. the serenity of being on the golf course. You walk up the the first green- after a great approach shot and pull the flagstick, only to be greeted by an advertisment for Viagra. Get used to it, because it's coming to the US after successful results in Europe.
I really don't like this one, but I wonder where we will see it first? It would make sense in a pro event because of constant tv exposure, especially when it's in HD.
Has anyone experienced this yet- and if so what did you think?

I have no problem with it, honestly. I'm sure I'll be crucified by the purists for saying that I'm not bothered by it.
If it helps keep more courses open (and maybe keeps fees from getting tooo astromomical) then I don't think we should reproach it.
Actually you can read my previous comment both ways, so just to clarify - They can advertise all they want. Put up signage behind the green too if it helps.
