10-year-old plays 109 golf holes, raises $75k for charity By mustang6560 on 7/27/12
Here is a cool golf-related story.
Earlier in July, Prep Rally brought you the touching story of 10-year-old Kyle Lograsso, a cancer survivor who masterminded a bizarre 100-hole golf marathon as a fundraiser for retinoblastoma, the cancer which cost him his left eye. When it came time to deliver on his rather optimistic golfing goal, Lograsso accomplished the feat and then some, golfing a total of 109 holes after teeing off for the first time at 6 a.m.I'm beyond impressed by this fifth-grader's determination. Not only did he beat his goal of playing 100 golf holes by nine, he also raised exceeded his target of raising $50k for cancer research by $25k! Plus, check out the video below. Clearly, Kyle has some game too! read more Read an interesting golf article? It included a really funny picture of Lograsso practicing putting in the family room, and throwing his head back in despair after missing a putt. 7/27/12

joe jones says:
This is a prime example of why we should make every effort to make golf available for our young people if not free at least at a reasonable rate. We need more kids like this in the game. 7/27/12
I follow Kyle's exploits via Facebook. I do know he has gotten at least one hole in one so far. I do not know how well he scores but as much as he seems to play, I wouldn't be surprised if he shoots in the 70's already. 7/30/12
