Back in 2005, Tee It Up For The Troops, Inc. began as a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of giving financial assistance to military service-members and their families. Since then, they have held a set of "National Golf Day" events on the Friday closest to September 11, for obvious reasons.
Coming up Friday, September 7 is another National Golf Day event organized by this charity. Of course, you can always make a tax-deductible contribution to this non-profit separately if you are unable to participate in one of Friday's golf events. A state-by-state map is available so that you can find the event(s) closest to you.  And as with Birdies For the Brave, we would like to "tip our hat" to those of you oobers who plan to participate - or have previously participated - in one of their events. read more Read an interesting golf article?
