Rory McIlroy has all but confirmed the rumors that he's joining Tiger Woods at Nike.
The 23-year-old Northern Irishman and Acushnet Co. (Titleist/FootJoy) said in a release Tuesday that they will part ways after this season, meaning McIlroy is free to pursue a more lucrative deal with another company.I have a question for Titliest and FootJoy loyalist, "How likely are you to leave your Titleist clubs and FootJoy apparel and follow Rory to Nike?" read more Read an interesting golf article? I plan to chuck all my equipment and outfit myself completely with Nike products. Rory, just say the word and I am off to the golf shop for a complete retrofit. p.s. what brand of underwear do you use? 10/30/12
love Rory and loved the fact he was a FJ / Titleist player... it will be sad to see him going, but i'm certainly not going to move to Nike... 10/30/12
I have two things in my bag that are nike. My 3 wood and my choice of ball. Then once in a while I have a sand wedge I throw in the bag on a course with sand (why put the sand wear and tear on the newer sand wedge lol). The ball is good for me and it works good for me. The 3 metal on the other hand worst club in my bag for me and I'm sure its me not the club its self. 10/30/12
Golf equipment manufacturers are not paying me a dime, so I'll play the brand who I believe best fits me. This has no effect on what I play, wear or lose on a golf course. Oh, and so far, i believe Nike golf equipment is third tier at best; even with Callaway, that why they shell out the big bucks. Otherwise no one would buy their crappy products. The worst golf shoes and golf bag I ever owned were Nike 10/30/12

If I were to leave my full bag of wonderful Titleist clubs of which total all except an Adams a12 24* hybrid and Ping Anser putter, Nike would not be my first choice, nor probably 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. Rory or not. 10/31/12
I can't stand Nike clubs, or balls for that matter. when i was in the market, i hit the Nike clubs and they just don't feel right to me. Same with the balls. even their "tour spin" variety feels like a rock when i hit it and doesn't spin for me. I bought titleist irons and play a titleist ball. I wear foot joys on my feet and glove, so i definitely won't be following Rory. I play what i hit the best. If it's a Nike, so be it, but right now it's not so i'm not going there. 10/31/12
i've tried to replace my Nike 3 wood 4 times and nothing has come close to how well i hit it. plus, Tiger has won about 10 of his majors with Nike clubs, so they can't be complete crap. oh, and the worst driver for me was a Mizuno. that thing was awful. 10/31/12
Nike makes golf equipment??? no switch to Nike for me, still love my Mizuno's! 10/31/12
