Life saver too?
iPhone Saves Man's Life (Maybe)
By Kickntrue on 8/22/07
I was perusing TheGolfGirl's site and found this remarkable story of an iPhone potentially saving a man's life. The golfer had the device in his pocket when he was struck by a partner's shot. The phone shattered but deflected the force of the shot. Where the phone sat in his pocket- covered 4 inches of scar tissue from a prostate operation.
Here's how this all went down. Koss' golf partner fired off a shot from his 3-wood. Quite possibly traveling at more than 100 miles an hour, the drive from his companion's 3 wood struck him in the side.

The iPhone was shattered, but in completing that ultimately self-sacrificial act, the doomed device took he brunt of the impact, blocking the ball from hitting a four-inch long section of scar tissue left over from Koss' prostate cancer operation.

If the iPhone hadn't been there at the spot the ball hit? You don't want to know, trust me.
