Girls Can Be Such A Pain
By Kickntrue on 8/31/07
Must be Utah day. Last year the state of Utah added high school girls golf as a state sanctioned spring sport. Now some of the women are complaining because they are being denied the right to compete with the boys' teams in the fall as well. One of their main complaints- since girls golf is new we will have to play with girls who have never played before. (CryMeARiver)

I hate to be the guy to say it, but why does it always seem there is some women's group somewhere complaining about something? You don't see guys wantingto play with the girls. Furthermore if girls can play with the men then the men should be able to compete with the women... in all sports. Then we'll see how they like it when they can't win any money on there own tour b/c men are playing. Its situations like this that make it hard to root for womens sports. Obviously the school saw a need to add the sport and now instead of being grateful, they now want more. Just be happy with what you get and let it be... women's sports overall are slower, less athletic, and not as fun to watch. With all those obstacles you would think they would want to create less drama, not more.
Preach on my brotha!!! Learn your lesson from a young lady named Michelle Wie!!!

That sounds like something someone in the south would say during the Civil Rights era. I agree if girls are allowed to play on boys teams then boys should be allowed to play on girls teams but it's hard to hold any discontent for not supporting a girls team in every sport that a public entity supports a boys team.
Girls should complain if they feel they are being discriminated against because it's the only way feelings like the above and those that are so prevalant in golf are going to change.

I've read that five times and still dont't understand what that means.....
I'm gonna try to enter the Handicapped Olympics. I'll bet I can kick some serious golf butt there. Maybe I'll try out for the Blind Golfers Association too, surely they can't discriminate against me for having 20/20 vision because discrimination is such a wrong Southern thing.
