'Caddie Whack' Down Under
By mustang6560 on 12/7/12
As I mentioned Wednesday, the Australian Open claims it's Australia's "most prestigious golf championship." Apparently, the word "prestigious" means something different Down Under.
According to Stuff.co.nz, Marc Leishman's caddie and James Nitties' caddie were involved in a 'caddie whack' — otherwise known as a fight — near the putting green at Lakes Golf Course.
The pair had to be separated during the incident, which was fuelled by an altercation between the caddies at the Star casino on Tuesday night. The PGA Tour of Australasia immediately condemned the altercation (as you would expect) and did not rule out the possibility of involving the police (although unlikely). We'll have to wait to see the fallout from the 'caddie whack' incident, however, both caddies are likely to face financial repercussions for their behavior.
Whoever said golf wasn't a contact sport clearly never played golf Down Under!

I wish they spoke English in Australia; it would be easier to understand what they say.

Absolutely!! Every sport is a contact sport!!! There's nothing wrong with a bit of a blue every now and then...when it's over you all go to the pub and have a beer.
I wouldn't know about that ariel ping pong stuff...but NSW and Qld Origin sides are a different matter. LOL
