Sneak Peek: Rory McIlroy's new Nike clubs
By mustang6560 on 1/11/13
Rory McIlroy, like Tiger Woods, begins his 2013 campaign next week in the Middle East at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. But, unlike Tiger, Rory's season debut includes an extra level of excitement — we'll finally get to see the current world number one donning the Swoosh.
Nike Golf is expected to make the formal announcement Monday that like Tiger, Rory will be sporting Nike head to toe. But, GolfCentralDaily.com scooped a couple photos of Rory's new Nike equipment in advance of the announcement. If these photos are indeed Rory's new clubs, he'll be playing the new Nike VR_S Covert driver, the Nike VR Pro Limited Edition fairway woods (3-wood and possibly 5-wood), the Nike VR Pro Blades (3-9), the Nike VR Pro Cavity Back irons (long-irons), the Nike VR Pro Blade wedges (with "RORS" stamped on the back). For the time being, his Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport GSS Prototype will stay in the bag.

I have the exact same set on order. No doubt my game will really take off now that Rory and I are playing the same equipment.
Eventually, I will be like CBeljan and won't have time for oob because of all the time demands for a player on tour.

glad to see he stayed with the Scotty Cameron putter, hope it dosent go away.
I've read he is testing a Method putter too.
No hybrids, but I did notice his 3 iron (at least I assume it's his 3 iron) is a cavity back. I guess a little forgiveness can't hurt.
