Jacksonville Man Crashes Golf Cart Into Group Of People
By mustang6560 on 5/1/12
If you drive a golf cart into a group of people, you will get arrested.
The victims said Hines then drove up in his golf cart at "a high rate of speed" and hit them with the golf cart, pinning one victim between two golf carts and running over a second. The man who "allegedly" rammed his golf cart into a group of golfers at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club does not look very remorseful in his mugshot.
I played the LSU Golf Course a few weeks ago, which is a municipal golf course, and I was appalled by the behavior I witnessed. The group behind me hit into us on one hole (they did apologize), they had music playing in their golf cart (which was audible on several occasions) and they repeatedly drove their golf cart up to the side of the green. Sure, their behavior made me upset, however, it is not my responsibility to enforce proper golf behavior. If I see behavior that needs to be addressed, I report it to the marshal. Otherwise, I just try to ignore it.

ok so he was pissed the group in front of them were drinking and slow play and driving on the greens. that would piss me off too. BUT, why even say anything if they are on the 18th green? tell the pro shop after the round and i am sure they would not be allowed back to the course.
I have seen a lot of things on a golf course but nothing like the dust-up as described in the article.

I was a ranger for 4 years and saw some strange behavior but never anything as stupid as this. There are always remedies that you can take on the golf course if someone behaves badly. Rangers can call the pro shop and local police can remove people at the request of the management if things are getting out of hand. In this case both parties seemed to have been at fault. Obviously no one was watching this incident heat up to the point that it got out of control..

I would have called 911 right away; if James Hines didn't stop, he might have decided to take a run at some kids. That %*$!® needs 90 days in jail, along with a two-year suspension of his driver's license.
The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.
