Never Have I Ever Bought Something From A Golf Informercial
By Kickntrue on 8/4/09
Here's a fun new summer feature for oob, "Never Have I Ever..." If you're unfamiliar with the game you can read about it here, but basically what happens is I make a statement about something I've never done, and anyone who HAS done it has to admit their severe golf addiction. It's often a drinking game revealing your inner slutdom, but I figure this is probably worse.
I know there are people out there, let's hear from you...
Never have I ever BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM A GOLF INFOMERICIAL!
Of course, it wouldn't be fun if I just listed mine, so this is most certainly an interactive game. Email me at email@example.com your best "Never Have I Evers..." and we'll have some fun!

Who are you kidding - NEVER bought a golf gadget??? Hmmm, let me see - Momentus Golf has some of my money for sure. The Inside Approach....what else???
Oh yea,, I'm a big time sucker for a good golf gadget. My latest and greatest acquisition was a golf towel the doubles as a putter head cover. How could I play without it??
@toddrobb- that isn't he amphibian thing, right?
Sorry, I meant, the amazing, one of a kind, 4 in 1 putter cover.. LOL
I bought Phil Mickelson's DVD after watching the infomercial about them.
mtdewvirus - how are they??? Useful???
I bought the medicus dual hinge driver after watching the infomercial about 10 separate times. How could it not work?! It is actually not bad, but I'll be throwing it up on eBay pretty soon to get some of my "investment" back.
I have never bought (2) Orlimar Tri-Metals because of an infomercial... And I did not have sexual relations with that woman (finger points slightly to the left).
I bought the Amphibian Towel. Actually it works great. I was pissed to find it at the PGA SuperStore in Myrtle Beach, SC for $15.99 when I paid close to $30 bucks after shipping.
I have to admit it I bought a weighted driver... but it has helped my driving.
Can I out a buddy? My buddy never bought an F2 wedge, and he doesn't know that it's the worst peice of crap in history. Works great for tilling rows for a garden, but not for hitting short game shots, can't confirm that though, cause he doesn't have one.
Optimus Prime says:
I'll fess up. I purchased the Medicus hinged driver(jury still out on the effectiveness), Phil Mickelson's DVD (because left-handed instruction is rare and I like Phil), and AJ Bonar's DVD(don't laugh, the short game dvd is worth the price).
@bducharm The DVDs are great. My chipping has improved a lot this year because of the new technique.
i never bought anything but one a HAMMER driver at a golf outing 3 weeks ago... SUCKS ecept when i hit it i can scream "POW" like the douche who sells them! gave it away to some kid at the driving range... what a nice guy i am!

Saw that last night on TV. hilarious. Also recieved the 4 in 1 putter towel at a golf outing. stupid thing falls off about once a round
This post makes me think of the lady in Tin Cup with the $200 worth of sh*t on when she shows up for her first lesson. Please tell me no oobers have ever been spotted on the driving range with a golf ball hanging from a string on their hat.
@kickntrue - I have the amphibian towel. I didn't BUY it from the infomercial but i saw it on one. It's freakin awesome. Takes
Does a Pro's drive at the US Open (390-Mickelson) Count as an infomercial? Made me go out and find a used Callaway FT Driver. I can seem to get more than 260 out of it...ripped off again!
