Tiger Woods Golf 2011 Moving Forward
By Kickntrue on 1/5/10
EA Sports announced today that despite all the other crap- Tiger Woods 2011 the video game is moving forward as planned.
Eight months in development, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online will launch in open beta later this month.

As for why EA continues to stand by its reputation-challenged frontman? The gaming giant cites his prowess on the green, not his indiscretions off it.

"Our relationship with Tiger has always been rooted in golf," EA Sports President Peter Moore writes in a blog post. "We didn't form a relationship with him so that he could act as an arm's length endorser. Far from it. We chose to partner with Tiger in 1997 because we saw him as the world's best, most talented and exciting golfer.
Finally, someone with some stones not to sell low.

EA Sports will continue to do slight improvements to a video game that has become a little stale and will make millions. Smart move. They should add a new mode to this year's game. Last year was disc golf. This year they could add a golf cart driving simulation, where you dodge hydrants and trees while a crazed blonde chases after you with a golf club.

I haven't boughten the game in a few years, but I always wished they had Augusta on there...If they've added, then I'm an idiot, if not, I wish they would
Kickntrue says:
@mjkern44- Still not on there. It has to do more with Augusta than EA. Augusta won't give out the rights to their course images to anyone.

Various GPS systems have the FLYOVERS from Augusta so Im sure that EA SPORTS could recreate that couse if they wanted to. However, easier said than done considering the legalities!! Lets blame this on Tiger too!

I just hope they did a better job on Anthony Kim's mug this time around ... not cool.

Tiger 10 on the wii is pretty awesome, in case no one has tried. it. I'm guessing I'll be buying Tiger 11 on the wii as well.

As much as I would love to see Augusta on a TW game, I know I have a better chance of Annika or Lorena becoming a member there, before I see that. But hey, it is considered one of the most elite courses for a reason, if any 7 year old with a Wii can play it, doesnt that take the mystique away?
