Mizuno's New JPX-800 Irons Excite Me
By Kickntrue on 9/22/10
Mizuno is releasing 4 new products in the next few weeks, but one of them in particular, the new JPX-800 Series irons have me VERY interested. The JPX-800 irons (will also have JPX-800 PRO) are a major step by Mizuno into the game improvement sector. Last year- they got their toes wet with the MX-1000 irons but it looks like they're jumping completely in with the JPX-800's. While both the MX-1000's and new JPX-800's are going to be for higher handicappers, the big difference is in look, and hopefully feel to the learning golfer. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the MX-1000's, but, well, ... (I love Mizuno- they've been great to us, I'd never say anything bad about them)
The JPX-800 and JPX-800 Pro, though- look great. They look much more like a players club (especially the PRO)- and something you could really recommend to a beginner or improving golfer who wants the best in technology, feel, playability and game improvement.
Right now I'm just telling you I'm excited. Fortunately, Mizuno, who has always been awesome to oobers, stands behind their work and is letting us "prove" them right, or wrong. They're sending a set out for us to demo/review, and anyone who's been around these parts can guess what will happen to them after that. One of the best things about my job is waiting for goodies to be on my front porch when I get home and the next few days will add extra excitement! In the meantime- here is a video from Mizuno about the irons.

I'll be happy to test them out for you.
We all love the reviews (okay not gonna lie... we love the 'what come next' part a little more!) in part, to the fact that it's 'us' you're reviweing them for, and you cut through the hype/marketing and give a realistic point of view on the equipment. Thanks Guys.
MP-52s are the best irons ever, hands down. And Mizuno fairway woods are sick as well (up to the F-60 at least, haven't used the new ones). Yeah, I kinda like Mizuno products.
I have been very interested in Mizuno but have never tried their products. I would love to try some out.

I just adopted a Mizuno set few weeks ago. They're getting bent to my body right now. So far I have been impressed.
Can't wait til Haggin Oaks puts 'em on the floor so I can go try these too.
I have been using the MX-19 irons for the last three years. They have a great look and feel. Was just thinking about new irons, will be sure to check them out. Can I get a oob discount?
Sign me up for any post-review activity you want to see for these used sets :)
Been looking at the MX-300 and MP-52 sets as an affordable step up from my SGI irons, but I must say the new JPX 800(cast)/Pro(forged) and MP-53's are making me drool.
The new clubs look great wiley1st, but MX-300 is now on sale. Get them while they last. :-)
Seriously, I have the MX-300 irons. They are very nice.
do you guys take bribes for the giveaways?
those irons look sweet...
i have the MX-25's form a couple of years back, i love em. definitely like the look of the 800-pro, but really like the look of the new MX-53, now how do i convince the wife i need another new set of clubs
Mr VanityHandicap says:
I switched to MX-300 back in May. They have been superb! They are accurate for me, forgiving, and of course, great feel. My game has improved, handicap getting lower (16), and my confidence is increasing. I would love to demo the JPX-800 but I will probably graduate to the MP-53.
i couldn't wait...hit up the local golf ship today to demo the set...ball really flies off the face...and i don't know if this was a sales tactic, but the dude selling me the set seemed to enjoy them a little too much...i have plans this afternoon, but will be on the course tomorrow at 7:30 am sharp!!!...
was able to play this morning...they were very nice, and i definitely picked up at least 10 yards per club if not a little more...i think i'll get them regripped...but they look very nice and feel great...
