 More R11 Details By Kickntrue on 1/3/11
The details for the R11 Drivers from TaylorMade are finally available. The clubs will be available February 4th. Instead of copy/pasting the entire press release- forgive me for just linking it. I figure you guys would rather watch the video anyway.
I don't know if I'm in love with the white- but I'll give them credit for going with a bold move, even if it is mostly marketing. TaylorMade certainly has the reputation with their drivers being the best so I'm sure they'll have no trouble selling these puppies. As much gear as I get my hands on- when it comes to drivers- the TaylorMades are always the most impressive. Here's a fun note on their advertising campaign we should expect to see soon, from a separate press release: TaylorMade Golf Company is tapping a Sesame Street song "One of These Things is not like the Other" as the theme to introduce its revolutionary R11™ driver. The television advertisement challenges the traditional golf paradigm, just as the R11 driver is bucking industry standards with its iconic white crown and black clubface. The multimedia "Only R11" campaign from TaylorMade's advertising agency, NYCA, is scheduled to debut on the Golf Channel on January 3rd, 2011.Sesame Street is definitely under-utilized as a marketing tool.  bducharm says:Andrew, I definitely do not agree that TaylorMade drivers are the best. I think it's more of a preference. Mine has been Titleist drivers. I LOVE my 909D2 and am waiting on a 910D2 that hopefully will come soon from my Titleist rep. I think TaylorMade makes fine equipment - as far as club statistics goes, they definitely pay the best to the Tour guys! 1/3/11

 svj says:i loved the r7, still to this day, it was my favorite driver... upgraded to the r9 supertri, i don't know, it wasn't the same. with r11 look, i must upgrade again. damn it taylor made, i'm not good an enough to keep throwing down 500 on a driver... 1/3/11
 askarzy says:I said it once and I'll say it again that driver is just plain ugly. Never been a fan of Taylormade, I think alot of their newer products are gimmicky. 1/3/11
 birdieXris says:I like that it's only 440 cc instead of the huge 460. That's ok. I'm going to wait to put it up head to head with my Tour Burner and the Titleist 910 before making up my mind. 1/3/11
 Jattruia says:Before seeing the R11 (which i love) i saw Cobra has a white driver too. Talking to someone at Golfers Warehouse that has hit the R11, apparently it does what it's supposed to. I guess the white crown and black have really make the leading edge stand out like a sore thumb making alignment that much easier. 1/4/11
