Tee Freek on PS3 Controllar
Tee Freek Controller Add-On
By Kickntrue on 9/13/11
Tee Freek by KontrolFreek is an attachment for your analog stick controls on PS3 and XBox360 controllers that promise to give you more control of your thumb's movements while playing.
The Tee Freek’s convex golf ball-like thumb grip is perfect for those looking for improved shots and total course mastery. Get better, straighter drives and stay out of the drink and other hazards on the track. Sink those difficult putts with a more accurate short game and come up big with better control in clutch situations. The added analog stick height and increased range of motion allows for smaller adjustments, so you can put your ball exactly where you want it—in the cup.I'm no scientist but I think I can understand this. The longer the lever with a fixed endpoint, the less each movement changes the final outcome. You have more room for error, but also much more room for control. It's like going into your computer settings and telling it to make your mouse less sensitive.
The real question isn't so much need or even functionality, it's really about what it adds to the game. Does having more control of EA Sports' Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012 make it any more fun? The obvious and short answer would be "yes," but I'm not 100% sure this is the case. Most of the complaints I've heard from golf video game junkies is that you can quickly learn to shoot -18 in a single round. Now I know the game has become tougher over the years- but more advantage may not be needed. I dunno. In the end- I love video games, so the idea of someone spending time trying to make them more fun makes me happy.
It looks like these babies usually cost $20. They're on sale now on the site for $10. Someone let me know!

Should be banned along with the belly putter.
I wish I had the time to play a video game. I'd use it to go out and play more real golf.
So how come a longer stick gives you better control in computer golf, but a shorter one gives you better control in actual golf?
@mjaber- fixed end point. you're looking at it "backwards" of sorts. when you are swinging a stick- you're hands are the fixed end point. on a video game controller it's the other way around.
Matt F says:
Better yet, get a Wii and a Chicken Stick and swing properly.
@Kickntrue... I wasn't really looking for an answer. I just thought it was kind of ironic. :)
